Program Details

Emergency First Aid is an entry-level course which covers the most common medical emergencies, injuries and illneses. This is a WSIB-approved blended course (half online and half in-person), suitable for work or school purposes. Curriculum: - performing CPR on adults, children, and infants - Using an AED (heart machine) - performing the heimlich maneuver for choking - responding to heart attacks and strokes - treating burns and bleeding - using an EpiPen for severe allergies There is a $10 registration fee (plus tax), which needs to be paid online before booking a class. After your payment is received, you will be emailed a link to begin the online course. Please complete the online course, before your in-person class. The in-person class takes 1-day and is held at 1245 Danforth Ave, Toronto on the second floor. You must be 14 years or older to attend. Wear comfortable clothing and bring photo ID (passport, drivers licence, health card). After your class, you can order a WSIB-approved certificate valid for 3 years. Certifications are processed within 24 hours.

Blended Training Process

Step 1

Registration

Select a course, then choose a date and time that works for you. Classes are offered everyday, including weekends!

You can register for a class using our website. The only cost is a $10 registration fee! (plus tax).

Step 2

Online Course

Complete a self-paced online course. You will watch various First Aid training videos and answer multiple-choice questions.

You do not need a microphone or camera. You can pause, save and resume the course at anytime!

Step 3

In-Person Class

After the online course, you will attend an in-person class to learn hands-on skills from a qualified medical instructor.

You will practice performing CPR chest compressions and rescue breaths on a medical manikin.

Step 4

WSIB Certification

After succesfully completing the online course and in-person class, you are eligible to order a WSIB-approved certificate.

Certifications are processed within 24 hours and sent digitally (email) and physically (mail).
