Program Details

Standard First Aid is a comprehensive, in-depth course which covers a wide variety of medical emergencies, injuries and illneses. This course is WSIB-approved through the Lifesaving Society. Curriculum: - performing CPR on adults, children, and infants - Using an AED (heart machine) - performing the heimlich maneuver for choking - responding to heart attacks, strokes, seizures, diabetes, heat stroke, and hypothermia - treating burns, bleeds, broken bones, and concussions - using an EpiPen for severe allergies There is a $10.00 registration fee which needs to be paid online before booking a class. You must be 14 years or older and currently live, work or attend school in Toronto to register. There are no other prerequisites. We recommend wearing comfortable, athletic clothing to class. You should bring a water bottle, photo ID, paper and a pen to class. This course runs in-person from 9am to 3pm at 1245 Danforth Ave, Toronto: Classroom #204 (2nd floor). Please arrive on-time, as we cannot accept new students after attendance has been submitted.
